Sunday School in Midlothian

Sunday School in Midlothian
Stay warm and in the Word this winter at Crestwood Midlothian. The following classes are offered this quarter Sundays at 9:45a:

Equipping will be led by Gilda Stanbery, Morri Pace, Mary Ellen Fines and Anne Faszewski. Based on the book and movie, “Dinner with a Perfect Stranger”, we will learn how to approach those who seem unapproachable and ponder those questions that we often stumble over when sharing our faith. We will continue to use prayer as our source of spiritual strength. Class will be a combination of video/discussion, prayer and practice. No preparation is required and books will be provided. Room 202

Uncomfortable. How would you describe your perfect church? What kind of music would they play? How long would the sermons last? What kind of ministries would the church have? It is fun to think about the perfect church but would that really be the best for us? It is often when we feel uncomfortable that we grow the most. Join us as we explore how we can grow through being uncomfortable.

This Sunday school class is based off the book Uncomfortable: The Awkward and Essential Challenge of Christian Community by Brett McCracken. You do not have to read the book to be part of the class but it would enhance the experience and we have books available if you would like one. The class is being taught by a few of the elders. The Tailgate. The Tailgaters course is just that – an informal tailgating group that meets before the 11 a.m. worship service each Sunday during the school year to discuss and unpack the previous week’s sermon and discuss practical applications of the teaching to our daily lives.  This class is held on a drop-in basis, no commitment required.  Although this group primarily consists of parents of young children, ALL are welcome and we look forwarding to tailgating with you!
